Product Description

Ideal for outdoor work or leisure activities during frigid weather, Muck Arctic Sport Rubber High Performance Men's Winter Boots will keep your feet warm in temperatures as low as -40 °F (-40°C), even when you're standing ankle deep in snow and slush. Offering both support and comfort, these insulated boots have a contoured midsole and warm fleece lining with thermal foam under the footbed. The 5 mm neoprene in these men's snow boots offers numerous benefits: it's waterproof, it absorbs shock, retains heat and prevents chafing by adjusting to the natural contours of the feet. These men's winter boots with molded lugs are built with a fully-sealed rubber shell that extends high above the ankle for extra protection when walking in deeper snow. Snow, slush, freezing rain, and all their gloomy allies do not stand a chance up against The Original MuckBoots' Arctic Sport boot. Waterproof and insulated, you say warm and dry with a tall boot shaft to offer extra protection in the drifts. A grippy sole keeps you firmly planted every step of the way. The story began in 1999 with the sole purpose of building the most comfortable, high performance footwear on the market. The need for a more comfortable boot for use in messy and tough conditions led to the design of The Original Muck Boot Company brand footwear. Every boot in the line is expected to deliver the same 100% waterproof quality and comfort that inspired the original footwear. In just a few years, the line has grown to more than 20 styles, all designed to tackle tough conditions in agriculture, lawn and garden, outdoor sporting, equine, and pet care. Today, the Muck Boot brand defines a standard of comfort and quality that goes beyond the expectations of customers around the country. See more

My son swears by these boots. Birthday gift!I bought these for my husband to wear in winter when he has to tromp through lots of snow. He absolutely LOVES them! They fit true to size, and he says they're super warm and keep his feet and lower legs completely dry. They are definitely one of his favorite pieces of footwear!I will use these boots for hunting. The description of product attributes, made for a easy decision. I'm very pleased.I’m going to be using them this deer season.Look forward to warm comfortable feetI am a woman wearing a mens size 7. These are the warmest boots ever. They have great support and are comfortable. However, I have larger calf’s so they are a bit snug on the top. BUT, you are able to fold the tops down. That is what I do 99% of the time. I have worn these snowmobiling and ice fishing when it was -30 degrees with only 1 pair of socks on and my feet never got cold!!!!Keep your feet warmThese are very comfortable and warm at temperatures down to the low teens and that’s what I bought them for. They are rated to -40 but that’s a gross exaggeration and not a chance so I only gave 4 starsA little wide heel slides up & down & I have a 15 1/2 US shoe sizeTough one this. I'll try to give you as much info as possible so you can decide whether to buy these or not .Are they true to size? No. Mine ran big. My size 9 was more of a ten. Nice felt insole soon sorted that though. Are they comfy?Very. Carpet slipper comfy. Are they stylish?Absolutely not. You'll not be teaming these with a cravat and Tweed jacket to take Instagram photos of you at a polo match. They're more pig farmer than landed gentry. But that's fine by me.Are they warm?Yes . Beautifully so. Toasty toes.Which leads us to the million dollar question. The elephant in the room....Are they waterproof?Errrrm.......No.And that's the big thing isn't it?Wellies are supposed to be waterproof above everything else. £100 wellies should be as watertight as a nuclear sub. And these just ......aren't.At least mine aren't.Let me explain....I wear my wellies for about 90 minutes a day while I'm out with my dog( Beautiful big Akita if you're interested. You'd like him...)In the TWO WEEKS I've been wearing these I've walked through wet grass, mud both icy and regular , uphill and downhill and I've loved these boots. But yesterday I walked across a flooded field and ended up standing in about four inches of water while the doggo played. And that's when I felt it....that sudden cold wetness seeping in.So I went to the nearest bench, took off my boot and found my sock soaked. This wasn't just damp from my sweaty foot, it was icy cold and sudden. The water was coming in at the point your foot flexes .So they're sending out a new pair. Let's hope I just had duff ones and the new wellies will be able to fulfil their destiny and keep my trotters dry.For over a hundred quid I expected better quality control. An update....I returned my boots and received a replacement pair.Again I found them warm and comfortable...But again I found then to leak.I'm aware that these boots are only suitable for cold weather, wear them when it's mild and your feet will overheat and feel damp. But today was freezing. The mud on my dog walk was frozen and the field was flooded with a crust of thin ice.Walking through the flooded area I got about ten paces and then got the dreaded cold, wet sensation in my left boot.Right foot warm and dry...Left foot cold and wet...I'm sending them back for a refund.I think it's very disappointing that such expensive wellies have such poor quality control. On the plus side, cos it's always good to end on a positive... I have to say that Amazon have been excellent in their service.I really wanted to like these boots but ultimately they fail the key job of a boot - dry feet. My sister had raved about these boots after having been through plenty of premium brand boots prior to settling on these (she has a farm and pretty much lives in her boots). Not sure if they have moved manufacturing or quality control is non-existent but within a week my feet were getting damp (your feet stay warm due to the 'wetsuit' lining but they most definitely did not keep the water out). I would also echo some other comments re the soles: they perform great on mud but try walking on wet concrete or wood and it is like walking on ice! Look elsewhere.I purchased these as I had previously bought a pair of Apex boots direct from Muckboots. They fit like gloves and you could be walking in your slippers as far as comfort is concerned. However both pairs have now split and I've only used them to walk the dog in the local fields. Considering that they are essentially a pair of Wellies, I'd expect them to be a tad more robust and not split of their own accord. In both instances I feel that this is a manufacturing issue and that the materials are not fit for purpose. Reading the care instructions should have sent up red flags. Lucky for me I have a pair of trusted wellies form a company that might be similar to forager, they are 10 yrs old and are tried and tested. Whilst Amazon have agreed to refund me, Muckboot themselves hid behind the fact that the other pair are outside the 12 month warranty. As I said previously I don't believe that this is an issue covered by that warranty, simply that the materials used are not fit for purpose. Its such a pity as I really like the boots. These wellies look impressive and expensive. Not quite as comfortable to dog walk in as I had hoped from previous neoprene wellies I’ve had but they are sturdy with a good grip. I have a 17” wide calf and these were very tight on. I did check the comments re. Wide calf fitting and the general consensus was they should fit. I’m now dieting in order to thin down my legs to get them to fit. No bad thing. I have wide feet, size 5 1/2 but always take a 6. The width is perfect and they are a proper 6. I could do with wearing thick socks with them but until my calves shrink that can’t happen. All in all a high end wellington boot, warm, dry (went for a paddle in the sea) and likely to be more comfortable for a 15” or less calve. These have to be the best boots we have used - 2-3 times a year we visit a very remote part of lapland where the temperature dips sometimes to -25 these boots have a capacity to withstand these temperatures whilst stood outside for hours. previous boots we had to layer up with 3/4 pairs of socks - these boots only need one decent pair -If you are going somewhere exceptionally cold consider in buying some quilted wellington boot socks - muck boots, quilted welly socks and thermal socks = a hot water bottle on your feet. These are just the best boots on the market for very cold temperatures - lasting exceptionally well with no leaks ( touch wood)
