When I bought this for my husband he really did like it and when my teenage boy saw it he asked me to get him a couple too I will definitely buy a couple more for them both.... Also I would say that the size does fit as expectedThese were my first apparel buys on Amazon sometime back (too lazy to write a review until recently) and i bought XXL based on comments from other reviewers about how much they shrank after washing.For all purchases after these, i'll be ignoring the negatives reviews that claim that the shirts shrink because all the sleeveless tees to date which i have purchased from Amazon have not shrunk after going through my washing machine _AND_ tumble-dryer.When i bought these, I intended to use them to play ball (on the assumption they would shrink like how the other reviewers said they would) once they shrunk down from XXL to XL but so far, after 5 cycles of washing and tumble-drying on high-heat, i have not been able to get them to shrink! (good or bad depending on your point of view).How they can shrink 1 or 2 sizes as claimed by some people is beyond me - i wish they would state in their review how long they wash for or if they tumble-dry for like 6 hours straight or something because the shirts i received are definitely NOT shrinking.So, these Russell tees are now used for home exclusively....which is a shame since they are very very comfortable and light and would be the perfect bball tees. Would have given 5 stars if the shirts had shrunk down to XL size but the missing star is really the fault of those who claimed it would shrink when it does not.Update #1 : After learning my lesson and ignoring the reviews claiming shrinkage of apparel, i purchased another set of Champion brand sleeveless tees (Amazon search term "Champion Men's Cap Sleeve Raglan Tee") from another seller as i could no longer find a seller who would ship the same Russell Ts outside of the US. Very happy with the Champion ones as they are perfectly sized as expected.Update #2 : as at June 2014, the Russell sizes i bought are still the same as the day i bought them, with no shrinkage even after going through repeated washing and tumble-drying cycles. Also forgot to mention : i chose the all-white cotton-only versions so my review is based solely on the all-white cotton-only versions. If you bought or have another color, i can't comment on whether you are going to get shrinkage or not. :)good job.As some reviewers have pointed out, despite the Amazon product description (as of 09/30/09), not all of the colors of this short (or the shorts from the same/similar line) are 100% cotton. In the case of the black color, both the shirt and shorts that I received were 100% cotton. FWIW, I prefer a poly-cotton blend in my workout clothes since they tend to deal with sweat more effectively - and I do sweat a lot... Anyhoooo...The cut of these shirts (and shorts) are generous, which is great for working out IMHO, but can understand where it could be an issue for others. I would not consider them huge by any means but would recommend ordering a size down if you want a more accurate fit in the poly-cotton blend versions since they will not shrink, unlike the 100% cotton versions. The black shirt and shorts shrank a bit after the first wash, making them a "less generous" size medium, but not enough to consider ordering the next larger size. Downside is that, as with most 100% cotton clothing, a slight amount of color fading was already noticeable following the first washing.I had bought these shirts and the matching shorts in heather and dark grey (both of which I would rate 5 stars for quality and value) before buying in black. Both the heather and dark grey are a poly-cotton blend and would recommend those over the black simply because the blended material seems like it would hold up better over years of washings. Neither has shrunk nor shown much color fading even after several washings.Please note that the 100% cotton material seems very sturdy as well but loses a star since the poly-cotton versions seem to offer better value (IMHO). However, if you are looking for 100% cotton workout gear, you will be hard pressed to find a better deal - just stick to the black version for now.Hope this helps!This supposed to be the more expensive version with the logo on the back instead I got the 9 dollar version with no logo very thin fabric and paid 19+ dollars. I feel like I got scammed.I'd bought several of these in '15 and love them. They fit well, quality material, and they wore well, but not anymore. I bought a couple of replacements in '19 and things had changed - very thin fabric and not exactly sized right, either... big disappointment. Well, time heals all wounds, but even so when I went looking for these again I made sure to look real close at the images to see if they were what I wanted and according to the pictures on the listing they matched my old ones, so I bought a couple more. Big disappointment again. Same thin material and same flimsy construction like the ones from '19. And these latest ones were bought from a 3rd party seller, as I thought that might assure me a shot at getting ones like I'd bought '15, but no. And since it's a 3rd party seller I'm most likely screwed on the refund/return front... big disappointment again again. Simply put: The pictures in the listing are of the older Russell sleeveless t-shirts, which is nothing close to what you get if you order them today.EDIT: I've read a few of the other reviews of these t-shirts and something sticks out to me: the arm holes. I don't really see a problem with the arm holes, but in the interest of full disclosure--I'll admit they may be a tad large for some. I personally think they're just fine, in fact I sort of expect this with a sleeveless t-shirt--or any sleeveless shirt for that matter--but maybe others don't, which is fine. And while I no longer beat my wife, I still like to wear the uniform, so I think the arm holes are quite appropriate.Fit greatVery GoodI like using these under dress shirts or short sleeve button-downs. The fit was good and the material is ok. It's not a luxurious fabric blend, but it does the job. It doesn't feel cheap. The arm holes are a little larger than I'd like but not as large as some other sleeveless (basketball type) shirts. Overall good value, we'll see how they hold up over time.Came super quick, a great price. Washes pretty good though we lost more than a couple inches in length, it did hold its shape and colour. Width was perfect, lost a star for the length. A lot of bigger men are tall as well as bigger. Will buy again though as its sti9ll wearable despite the lost length.good fit, not as flattering as I thought. I was hoping it would show my sculpted guns. Instead I'm just fat and everything hangs everywhereVery poor delivery. We are all at home, but delivery never come to door, but was dropped in a postbox.Neck cutting is small, not exactly proportional to the size of item. A little weird.
